Olive oil

This cornerstone of Mediterranean dishes, fruits harvested from trees sprouting from terraces surrounded by drywall, has a long way to gourmet tables. Our ancestors used it for food as well as for medicinal purposes, but there is nothing sweeter than high-quality and strong young oil in which homemade bread is dipped with a grain of salt. Is there really anything else you'd need?
